I am driven by a deep desire for helping others find hope and healing to reach their full potential. I believe that each individual possesses unique gifts and abilities so I strive to empower clients to overcome challenges and cultivate lasting change. My overall focus is understanding the client’s needs, fostering trust, and promoting optimal well-being for each client. Coming alongside clients to enhance personal understanding, promote change, and create a life with more fulfillment is a tremendous privilege.
Approach to Counseling
I provide a compassionate space for self-exploration, drawing on psychodynamic principles to fully understand the whole person and how past experiences have influenced present behaviors. Oriented toward a client-centered approach, I integrate CBT, strength-based techniques, and other evidence-based interventions to help clients reduce symptoms and embrace new possibilities. I maintain a Biblical perspective at the core and share that attitude with clients that choose to include Christian principles into their journey toward change. Together, we explore areas for growth to navigate life circumstances with greater ease and cultivate the skills needed to build fulfilling lives with purpose and meaning.
EMOTIONAL Wellbeing
Emotions are essential and effectively navigating them is crucial for overall mental health and wellbeing. Understanding that managing emotions may be especially difficult through stressful situations, life transitions, or when in a difficult relationship, I have experience in empowering clients to reconnect to their inner compass and draw on their authentic self to create lasting change. Exploring the life experiences and personal development for each client, I incorporate mind, body, and spirit interventions to promote increased emotional awareness and self-regulation to gain the skills necessary for maintaining balance in their life.
